The home of intuition
It all started in 2010 as a hobby for Edin Kjellvertz and his wife Lina when they bought decoration for their home. Four years ago, they finally started designing their own furniture, pieces and rugs under the name Dusty Deco. ‘We have a pretty wild mentality, but sometimes we have to balance it out with a little structure,’ admits this Swedish couple from their home in Mallorca, after recently opening a new shop in Los Angeles, USA.

Edin and Lina used to live in Sweden where they worked in the fashion industry. Their favourite activity was decorating their home. One day they decided to quit their jobs and open a shop in Stockholm, a huge gallery where they sold vintage furniture, decoration and artwork.
In 2020, they noticed that it was working and decided to go one step further. Together with their partner NO-GA, a Swedish brand of high-quality furniture, they started designing their own furniture, rugs and other items under the name Dusty Deco.
‘We had to give our company a name and one day, while visiting a friend in Barcelona and drinking wine in the garden, the song Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield was playing. We looked at each other and thought Dusty was a fantastic name. That’s how Dusty Deco was born,’ Edin explains.
Dusty Deco’s headquarters, office, warehouse and shop are located in Sweden. But it is on Mallorca where Edin and Lina live and find their creativity. ‘Our flat on the island is a place of inspiration for us, where we collect art and combine it with vintage furniture and designs from our own collections’.
