Beauty In An Instant

One day Sara Pardo (Barcelona, 1983), a clerk in a hospital in Barcelona, realised that the really important things in life were happening beyond the four walls of her workplace. And so one afternoon, on leaving the clinic, she grabbed her camera and devoted herself to capturing images of everything that gave her a vibe: the sun, the moon, the clouds, the flowers, the sea. Under the pseudonym of Misskittinn, in honour of the French DJ Miss Kittin, her photographs are an ode to simple, natural beauty.

In spite of the fact that she only started showing her first images two years ago, Sara’s passion for photography emerged in her teenage years, when she would take photos of everything around her using an old mobile phone. Afterwards she would tweak them using a design program, creating textures and colours that gave them a personal signature.


“I always had a very creative side. My parents are actors, and for a long time I was involved in the theatre too”, says Sara who, on the day she was given a camera with a big zoom lens which she could use to capture details of even the craters of the moon, took a new leap in her hobby.


“My photographs are pure inspiration”, she says. Many of her followers find relaxation in them. “They tell me that they’re so busy facing their everyday problems that when they see my photos, it reconnects them to the smaller pleasures of life and nature”. The moon and the sun are very present in her images, as are balloons, roses, bouquets of flowers or solitary wooden benches. [...]
